I LOVE taking my daughter's old clothes and accessories here! The workers here are SO nice-especially the owner of the store. They actually appreciate the fact that your stuff was once/is valuable VS $.10 a onsie at a Competitor's rate! I will never go anywhere else!! ♡
Major red flag when a business is not a member of The BBB. What business would not want to be a member of the BBB?? Once Again Children's Boutique is not a member of the BBB and for good reason. Would not meet the standards of good business practices.
I love this place. After being basically humiliated at what Once upon a Child offers for what you take them, it's nice to have someone give you what is more worth your time for getting them together! I'll be back:)
Once Upon A Child is an honest and professional establishment and doesn't steal potential customers' items and certainly does not threaten them. I would highly recommend that anyone not wanting to consign but sell their items steer clear of Once Again Children's Boutique in Harrison, Ohio. Do not leave your items with Once Again Children's Boutique unless you want to donate them to the owner but then why not give them to Good Will or another place in need.

"Our Mission:
The owner has a sign out stating that she doesn't "itemize" but doesn't have a sign out stating anything along the lines "that once you leave your things with me to review, they are the property of the store, get removed from the store and may be sold immediately and the customer/seller is only entitled to whatever she wants to pay and the customer has no choice. Her store is chaotic, disorganized and dirty.
Setting standards for marketplace trust
I'm 19 and my grandma owns this store! She's been running this type of business long before I was born. She really does care about her customers and is always trying to give people deals and help those in need! Anything she can't buy and resell, is returned, but if they don't want it, instead of goodwill, she donates to the baby basket to help mothers in need! This is her second store and she is truly an inspiration to me!
Encouraging and supporting best practices
She was given an opportunity to pay the amount that we would have received from Once Upon A Child but hasn't paid us but rather has been selling our merchandise.
BBB’s mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. BBB accomplishes this mission by:
I enjoy shopping here. Selling is easy and what they offer is reasonable. The only down fall is most of the time they aren't accepting clothes. It would also be nice to have a calendar with each days sale. Other than that I LOVE THIS STORE!!!
Creating a community of trustworthy businesses
Denouncing substandard marketplace behavior"
The owner of this business is extremely unethical. On July 29th, I brought in three large boxes of my daughter's items that were purchased new and used only one season along with family games. The owner explained that she is similar to Once Upon A Child but gives more money to the customer. I had asked her if I could wait and she explained she was too busy and backed up. I asked her about getting a receipt for my items and she said that it wasn't necessary and handed me her card and said that I could call back later that day or the next morning after she had time to get thru my things. I left feeling very uneasy and wishing I had even photographed all our items. My instincts were correct. I called later that day and again the next morning and had to leave voicemail messages. She did not return my call until Friday with a very low offer. I told her that I simply wanted my items back as her offer was low. I did not give her permission to keep or disperse my items throughout her store but was leaving them with her in good faith to review what I left and that it was my choice depending on the offer. I have taken "like" items and fewer items to Once Upon A Child and sold our items for nearly double what she was willing to give. I went to pick up our items and she had removed a good amount of them from the store for someone to tag before even talking to me and had some of our items out on her floor there she was already selling and making a profit from. She screamed at me that our items were garbage and I should feel lucky that she would give me anything for them. My daughter came in with me and she was scared of the woman and her screaming. The owner had actually said that she could hurt me but would probably warn me first. What kind of person screams that a child's things that they wore and enjoyed was nothing but trash?!
